Dr. Lauren Paul is a board eligible anesthesiologist with a focus in compassionate and individualized patient care throughout the perioperative period. Dr. Paul earned her medical degree from Edward Via School of Medicine in Alabama, the state she was born and raised.
Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Paul lived in rural Kenya, volunteering at Tenwek Mission Hospital and recognizing the gap in medical care for those uninsured, both overseas and locally in the Southeast where she was raised. She went on to pursue a MBA, graduating summa cum laude with a focus in healthcare management, driven to create a nonprofit clinic treating those with diabetic eye disease in the rural Southeast. Today her non-profit has served and treated hundreds of uninsured diabetics across the states of Alabama, Mississippi, and beyond.
Dr. Paul landed in San Antonio, TX after a successful couples match with her better half (Kyle Paul/Orthopedics) to the University of Texas San Antonio. She served as Chief Resident for her department in 2025-2026.
When not in the operating room, she enjoys traveling to fun places with her husband, long walks with her two golden retrievers, scuba diving, trying new restaurants, and driving up to Texas Hill Country for the views and the wine!
