Dr. Erik Koppang is a Board-Certified anesthesiologist recognized for clinical expertise and experience. He is calm, adaptable and praised for his excellent communication skills. He earned his M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School and completed his residency training at Naval Medical Center San Diego, and holds current unrestricted BLS, ACLS, PALS, DEA and Texas Medical Licenses.
Dr. Koppang enjoys his busy practice, which is focussed on providing obstetrical anesthesia in a large tertiary care hospital, that also has a wide range of surgical patients including trauma, neurosurgery, burn and reconstructive care, vascular, orthopedic and oncologic sub-specialties.
Hobbies include travel (often to Disney parks) dogs, bird hunting and watching cozy murder mysteries on British TV.
