Dr. Chris Stringer is a board-certified anesthesiologist who believes excellent anesthesia care begins with making patients feel safe, heard, and confident in the team caring for them. He completed his medical training in Chicago and anesthesiology residency in San Antonio before serving as a U.S. Army anesthesiologist in North Carolina and Tennessee, continuing a family tradition of military service dating back to the Revolutionary War. He later practiced in Los Angeles, caring for a broad range of patients in both community and highly specialized settings, before returning to San Antonio.
Dr. Stringer brings a calm, attentive, and individualized approach to each patient, with a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and making the surgical experience as comfortable as possible.
Outside of medicine, he is active in his church, helps lead a ministry for high school boys, and enjoys soccer, fitness, traveling, and spending time with his family and dogs.
